You will find Clayton’s history on display around every corner and down every street as you venture into the community. First settled by the French in the early 1800s and originally named Cornelia, Clayton has been a playground for the rich and famous, a thriving industrial hub for boat builders and most recently a health forward retreat for eco tourists and River Rats.

The Cottages on James offers three professionally designed suites that each have their own private exterior entrance and outdoor entertaining area. You will be able to conveniently park in the properties free off-street parking and if you’re looking to launch a boat, you’re a mere block from the Village’s public boat launch and trailer storage.
